Several months ago before school started a little boy, my youngest has known since she was 2 moved away. She hadn't seen him for months. So, when I explained his daddy got a new job she was totally fine with it. I on the other hand was upset by the move,... but as a grown up, I can deal with it right? I thought, that's it,... move away easy,... then came kindergarten.
We live in a transient area, full of military families moving in and out of housing, off and on base,... its the norm here. My daughters class started out with 28 kids. (Kindergarten with 28 kids but that is a totally different rant.) They have had a few kids move away and a few new kids move to the school and into her class.
In the car the other day she asked why her latest friend had to move away. I gave the typical, her daddy or mommy's job caused her to have to move,... simple answer its over right,... not with my daughter,...
"Well Mommy, I know why Wayne moved away,... he kissed my friend in class,... remember,.. (UH yeah- how can I forget, you talked about it for weeks), he kissed her on the lips,... ewwww,... he was so embarrassed his mommy made him move away."
Only my kid would take a simple family move and make it a scandal.
